Keith Morgan, managing director and head of the Piper Sandler education group, has been a municipal investment banker since 1980. He has primary responsibility for managing the firm’s commitment to higher education finance nationwide. Morgan takes a very “hands on” approach to managing financings for his clients. This includes ongoing involvement through all phases of any transaction, from conceptualizing the plan of finance to the closing of the issue. He also stays in close contact with clients between transactions to apprise them of market conditions that have created economic opportunities with respect to the overall debt management plan.
As the head of the education group, he also serves on the operating committee of the firm’s public finance department.
Morgan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
